Radio Effectiveness

Radio is known as a medium of communication also known as broadcast media that includes information being transmitted across communication channels. The role of radio is generally defines as to inform, educated and entertain. Radio isn't the typical device that only plays music and promote different advertisements for companies. Radio is a communication source for military and armed forces, air traffic control, cell phones and wireless internet.

KBS World Radio is a Korean website that enjoys various content created by South Korea's public flagship broadcaster KSB. It provides well-made Hallyu programs in different languages. They also offer the latest news and other contents in 11 languages. The station/website discusses topics such as politics, economy, domestic, culture, sports, science, and international news.

One of the broadcasts I recently listened to talked about the potential future rise of gasoline prices. On there broadcasts, they tend to pick up topics as they are on air and discuss them rather than talk about a particular topic and discuss that matter like the U.S. radio would do. So while listening to KSB Radio you have to stay engaged as you follow their topics.

KSB World Radio has different stations that their information is shared on. Some examples of this are KSB World TV, KSB World Indonesia, KSB World Spanish, KSB World Vietnamese and others.

KSB World On-Air is an anytime, anywhere app specifically designed for quick and easy access to audio services for KSB World Radio's programs. Other KSB apps include Kong, KSB+, and KSB News.

Voice of Russia commonly abbreviated (VOR) was the Russian Government's international radio broadcasting service from 1993 until 2014. It was reorganized as Radio Sputnik. In 1993, December 22 Radio Moscow was renamed: Voice of Russia after President Boris Yeltsin issued a decree. Later, in 2013 of December, President Vladimir Putin issued a decree dissolving the VOR as a agency that would merge with Novosti forming a international news agency.

Voice of Russia is broadcasting in 160 countries and in 38 languages. The station informs listeners about what is happening in Russia, as well as Russian culture and their lifestyle. The station helps with forming a positive image of Russia among foreigners. Voice of Russia presents music, information, talk shows, etc. There are news, as well as thematical programs and music commercials.

The TRACT team was conducted step by step during a 2,5-year period. The process included the following steps:
  • project development replanning of rooms
  • main hardware systems update
  • equipment delivery and installation
  • additional training for Voice of Russia personnel to learn about the newly available options

The complex included six open news rooms, with about 500 workplaces, 20 studio equipment blocks for production, 2 specialized on-air control rooms and 6 on-air studios.

Voice of Russia also launched two new stations in the United States- 1430 AM New York and 1390 AM Washington, DC. The purpose of the panel discussion was to inform people more about the deliverance of the Russian radio in the United States and the alternative approaches of diplomacy since the Cold War.

There has been an ideological struggle with the Soviet and America sponsoring radio in which mistrust still exists. The Russian Government has a prevalent presence over radio and media that serves the majority of the population. This issue has lead to heightened economical as well as political vulnerability among affiliates. With its endeavor of launching two radio stations in the U.S., Voice of Russia hopes to battle any negative observations through its branding strategy.
